A 4-week somatic movement series in Montréal for those who live in their head and spiral in ‘what ifs,’ ready to feel calmer in their body.
About this EventDo you overthink everything—even your healing?
If your mind is always running, replaying conversations, predicting worst-case scenarios, or analysing every choice, it makes sense that your body feels tense, restless, or numb.
Move Through Overthinking & Mental Noise is a 4-week somatic movement series designed to help you:
- Quiet mental noise by giving your nervous system a new outlet
- Learn how your body says “no,” “yes,” and “I’m overwhelmed”
- Practice making space between a thought and a reaction
- Build trust in your body’s cues instead of only your mental loops
Rather than trying to “think less,” we’ll create space for your body to feel more—safely, gently, and at your pace.
Who this is forThis series is for you if you:
- Get stuck in loops of “what if” and worst-case scenarios
- Overanalyse your relationships, your work, and yourself
- Struggle to make decisions and second-guess them after
- Feel disconnected from your body’s signals (hunger, rest, emotion)
- Want a grounded, non-fluffy space to explore intuition through the body
No dance background is required. If you can sway, walk, or breathe, you can do this.
What we’ll do each weekEach 75-minute session will include:
- Check-in & drop-down: Gentle prompts to notice: “What’s in my head right now? What’s in my body?”
- Somatic regulation practice: Breath, grounding, and micro-movements to help your nervous system shift out of mental overdrive.
- Intuitive movement exploration: Guided free movement with music, exploring themes like: How does your body move when your mind is in control vs when your body leads? What does “enough for today” feel like somatically?
- Integration & closing circle: Simple reflection + sharing (if you wish), anchoring one takeaway into your week.
You’ll always be invited, never forced. You choose how big or subtle your movement is.
What you’ll walk away withBy the end of the 4 weeks, you can expect to:
- Feel more connected to your body and less trapped in your head
- Have somatic tools to calm spiralling thoughts
- Recognise your body’s “yes/no” signals more clearly
- Experience moments of clarity that come from felt sense, not mental pushing
