SYNOPSIS:

Fresh from the screens of Hong Kong, this heartfelt family drama is making its North American debut at Making Waves Montreal! Award-winning superstar Aaron Kwok (last year's ROB N ROLL) plays a father who, after having sacrificed his career to care for his sick daughter (Nathalie Hsu, also featured in LAST SONG FOR YOU), realizes the profound impact they have on each other.

James Hung, Director

Having studied film in California, James worked on the post-production of LOST, GREY’S ANATOMY, and UGLY BETTY.

James was involved in the production of TVB dramas such as ONLY YOU, OFF PEDDER, and GHOST WRITER. His screenplay THE SEVENTH LIE was selected as an investment project with support from the Film Development Fund of Hong Kong. For this film, he won Best Film at the Barcelona International Film Festival and the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. The film was also selected for the Hong Kong Summer International Film Festival.

ViuTV's police drama PLAN B was produced, written, and directed by James, achieving good ratings and nominations for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor Performances at the 2018 Hong Kong Television Awards.

In 2022, James created and directed Hong Kong's first sci-fi monster movie with full 3D Motion Capture technology – DETRIMENTAL.
