The event is a public bilingual conversation that is free and open to participants of all ages, backgrounds and levels of education.
Event description:
This public conversation aims to understand what were the echoes of Red and Black power in Quebec in the 1970’s and what are the legacies of those movements today? What were the connections between the two movements? How did they inform self-determination, identity, political and community organizing, education, and more?

Cette conversation publique vise à comprendre quels ont été les échos des mouvements Red Power et Black Power au Québec dans les années 1970 et quels en sont les héritages aujourd’hui. Quels liens existaient entre ces deux mouvements? Comment ont-ils influencé l’autodétermination, l’identité, l’organisation politique et communautaire, l’éducation, et plus encore?
