Hello,
My name is Charlotte Noël, and I’m a volunteer with the education team at MOMENTA | Biennale de l’image.
I’m excited to share with you the educational programming for the 19th edition of MOMENTA Biennale de l’image.
This year, the biennale unfolds across 11 venues throughout Montreal—including museums, galleries, and artist-run centres—and features works by 23 international and local artists.
Our cultural mediation program, MOMENTA Creative, invites you to take part in free guided tours, in-gallery mediation, and creative and reflective workshops. Designed with a sustainable, inclusive, and thoughtful approach, these activities create space for dialogue and discovery around the theme Praises for the Absent Image. The programming will run from September 10 to November 1, 2025.
We would like to offer the people connected to your organization the opportunity to attend a guided tour of the exhibition A Community of Bodies Hosting Migrating Cells by artist Anouk Verviers, presented this fall at Dazibao as part of MOMENTA.
This special tour, held in the presence of the artist, is designed specifically for women and individuals living with endometriosis. The exhibition offers an intimate, poetic, and engaged exploration of the physical, emotional, economic, and medical realities surrounding the condition. Through science fiction, play, and open sharing between participants, the artist weaves in her own experience and that of her long-standing community. She hopes to create a space for dialogue with others who are affected.
The tour will last about one hour and can be scheduled between September 10 and 20, or between September 30 and October 4, 2025.
We are very open to adapting the format of the visit. This moment is meant to be inclusive, respectful, and without pressure—you’re welcome to simply observe, listen, or participate however you feel comfortable.
If this activity interests you, please let us know by replying to this message, and we can coordinate the visit based on your availability and needs.
Thank you so much,
Looking forward to welcoming you 😊
Charlotte
