ABOUT CONTACT IMPROVISATION
Contact Improvisation (CI) is a dance form based on improvising through tactile connection with one or more partners. It requires and trains personal and collaborative movement awareness, physical listening, trust, exploration skills and spontaneous creativity. A versatile dance form that invites meditative, playful and athletic ranges of danced experience.
ABOUT THE CLASSES
The CI PLAYGROUND Fall 2025 series consists of 8 Contact Improvisation classes and 2 focus jams. Each class centers around revisiting one or more fundamental principles of Contact Improvisation, approached through a somatic lens to deepen embodied awareness within a safe and respectful encounter boundaries.
ABOUT THE JAMS (Oct.17 & Nov.21)
Every 4 classes are followed by a focus Jam to allow you to put in practice all skills learned during class.
The focus Jam provides a supportive environment for spontaneous exploration, skill development, and improvisational refinement, encouraging participants to practice autonomy and embodied responsiveness.
Together, these components create a balanced space for technical clarity, playful encounters, and creative experimentation within the dance form. Both classes and jams are faciltated by Corinne Skaff
ACCESSIBILITY:
Open to all Movement backgrounds and levels.
Make a great initiation to the CI practice and technical aspects and a great way to revisit the basics through a somatic lense for the more experienced.

Class Drop-in: 25 cad
Focus Jam: 15 cad (Oct.17 & Nov.21)
