On September 20th, we’re turning our previously planned Fall Kickoff Event into something even more meaningful. After our recent fire, 11 fire departments responded- 9 of them made up of volunteers, and many even showed up off duty to help. These men and women give their time freely to protect us, and now it’s our turn to give back.
We’ll be hosting a community BBQ right on our lawn from 11am-3pm, serving pulled pork, hot dogs, chips, and more. We’ll also have lawn games and plenty of fellowship. Bring your own lawn chairs! Our main goal is simple: “Fill the Helmet” for these departments. Every dollar raised will go directly to the nine volunteer fire departments who showed up for us:
Redland, Emerald Mountain, Waugh/Mt. Meigs, Coosada, North Montgomery, Elmore County, Tallassee, Eclectic, and Santuck.
If you can’t make it in person, you can still join in by donating to our GoFundMe. Funds will be evenly distributed among the departments.
And if donating isn’t possible, we completely understand—your prayers and support mean just as much as we find our way forward. The outpouring of love from this community has already been incredible, and we can’t wait to spend the day together turning something hard into something hopeful.
