Due giornate di lavoro dedicate alla creazione di ciotole in stile giapponese: il chawan, tradizionale tazza da tè, e lo yunomi, la tazza da tè d’uso quotidiano. Il workshop offrirà ai partecipanti la possibilità di esplorare la tecnica del Kurinuki, un metodo tradizionale giapponese che consiste nello scavare e modellare un blocco solido di argilla per ricavarne la forma. Questo approccio, basato sul gesto diretto e spontaneo, valorizza la materia nella sua autenticità e celebra la bellezza dell’imperfezione.

Two days dedicated to creating Japanese-style bowls: the chawan, the traditional tea bowl, and the yunomi, the everyday tea cup.
Participants will explore the Kurinuki technique, a traditional Japanese method in which a solid block of clay is hollowed and carved to reveal the form. This hands-on, spontaneous approach celebrates the raw authenticity of the material and the beauty of imperfection.

The artist works with clay as both matter and metaphor, exploring the fragile and complex bond between humans and animals. Her organic, expressive sculptures blend strength and vulnerability, irony and contemplation. Through essential forms and intuitive gestures, she invites reflection on the shared vulnerability that connects all living beings.
