Please join us August 1st 4-6 PM at the Monson Gallery Store as we feature Monson artists Sarah Wentworth and Isaac Crabtree. Sarah started Maine Rustic Resin in 2020 during the pandemic while she taught remotely. Sarah attempts to incorporate as many locally sourced natural botanical elements within her products as she can, including hand pressed flowers and ferns from her own backyard. The Monson Gallery Store carries Sarah’s full line of jewelry, barrettes, bookmarks and journals, keychains, coasters and wine stoppers.
Sarah’s husband, Isaac Crabtree has been teaching science at Greenville High School for 16 years but it wasn’t until he flew a drone for the first time in 2017 that his interest in technology and the outdoors were combined into a passion for aerial photography. Isaac loves capturing the rugged beauty of northern Maine from a new perspective. Whether a pre-dawn hike to the top of a mountain or a long dirt road to capture a generations-old family camp, aerial photography has allowed him to explore parts of our state many will likely never see.
For our wine tasting this month we will be featuring a 2022 Domaine Joncy Beaujolais Quincie. Lightly textured with bright red fruits and plenty of acidity, this is an open wine. A gentle underlining of tannins gives the wine shape.
We will also be sampling a 2023 Italian Pinot Grigio from Kris vineyards, a crisp and easy-drinking white wine with citrus and mineral aromas, a medium body, and a clean, flavorful finish.
