Join us for the MOSAÏQ Human Library, an interactive initiative that promotes dialogue, understanding, and inclusion by allowing participants to “borrow” real people instead of books. Each “human book” shares their personal experiences, challenges, and perspectives in open conversations, fostering empathy and breaking down stereotypes.
Originating in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2000, the Human Library concept has expanded globally, creating safe spaces for meaningful discussions. MOSAÏQ first presented the Human Library in June 2024 in collaboration with Riverview Library, achieving great success. By September 2024, it expanded to Moncton Library, reaching a broader audience. Now, in 2025, the initiative has grown even further, collaborating with all three public libraries in the Greater Moncton Area, making it more accessible and impactful than ever.
The Human Library continues to prove it is an impactful tool for creating opportunities for open and meaningful conversations that build empathy and cultural bridges. The community comes together in a friendly and warm setting to meet, initiate conversations, and make friends from various walks of life.
In 2025, through great partnerships with Riverview, Moncton, and Dieppe Public Libraries, MOSAÏQ Human Library is expanding its outreach and broadening its impact within the community, ensuring stories are told and perspectives are shared throughout the three communities.

Rejoignez-nous pour la Bibliothèque humaine MOSAÏQ, une initiative interactive qui encourage le dialogue, la compréhension et l’inclusion. Au lieu d’emprunter des livres, les participants « empruntent » des personnes réelles. Chaque « livre humain » partage son vécu, ses défis et ses perspectives dans le cadre de conversations ouvertes, favorisant l’empathie et contribuant à briser les stéréotypes.
Originaire de Copenhague, au Danemark, en 2000, le concept de la bibliothèque humaine s'est étendu à l'échelle mondiale, créant des espaces sûrs pour des discussions significatives. MOSAÏQ a présenté pour la première fois ce concept en juin 2024 en collaboration avec la bibliothèque de Riverview, avec un grand succès.
En septembre 2024, elle s'est étendue à la bibliothèque de Moncton, atteignant un public plus large. En 2025, grâce à une collaboration renforcée avec les bibliothèques publiques de Riverview, Moncton et Dieppe, l’initiative prend encore de l’ampleur dans la région du Grand Moncton.
La Bibliothèque humaine continue de démontrer son pouvoir unique à susciter des conversations ouvertes et profondes, renforçant ainsi l’empathie et les liens interculturels. Dans une atmosphère chaleureuse et conviviale, la communauté se rassemble pour échanger, se découvrir et tisser des amitiés au-delà des différences.
En 2025, grâce à de solides partenariats avec les bibliothèques publiques de Riverview, Moncton et Dieppe, la Bibliothèque humaine MOSAÏQ élargit sa portée et renforce son impact. Ensemble, nous veillons à ce que chaque histoire soit entendue et chaque perspective partagée dans les trois collectivités.
