Welcome to the Ale Trail Half Marathon and 8km Sprint – a fun, friendly race for the whole community, and all for a great cause!

This event is open to everyone – whether you’re chasing a new personal best in the half marathon, tackling your first-ever fun run, or simply enjoying a scenic walk with friends on the 8km course. You are a vital part of the Ale Trail and we’re so glad you’re joining us! This is your chance to stretch your legs, breathe in the fresh country air, and enjoy the camaraderie.

And here’s the best part: every step you take helps save lives. All proceeds from the Ale Trail go directly to the Otago and Southland Rescue Helicopter, supporting their incredible work across our region.

So whether you're walking, running, or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for being here and for being part of something bigger. We promise good vibes, great company, and a refreshing reward at the finish line!
