Multicultural Potluck: The Food That Unites Us 🎉🍽️
This September, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month because many Latin American countries celebrate their independence this month. To honor the people, stories, and flavors that shape our community, we’re hosting a multicultural potluck! Bring a traditional dish, beverage, or dessert from your culture—something that tastes like home—and (optional) any traditional games you love (think lotería, dominoes, cornhole, cards, etc.).
As we eat, we’ll swap stories about the dishes that raised us: Who taught you the recipe? What memories or celebrations is it tied to? What do you call it in your home language? Let’s savor the food—and the conversations—that bring us together.
💬 New to Spanglish Table? All levels of Spanish and English are welcome—from fluent to first words. This is a warm, respectful space where mistakes are part of learning. We’ll greet you with a smile! 🇺🇸🇨🇴🇨🇱🇵🇪🇻🇪🇮🇳

Potluck Multicultural: La Comida que Nos Une 🎉🍽️
Este septiembre celebramos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana porque muchos países de América Latina celebran su independencia en septiembre. Para honrar nuestras historias y sabores, haremos un potluck multicultural. Trae un plato, bebida o postre tradicional de tu cultura—ese sabor que sabe a hogar—y (opcional) juegos tradicionales que te gusten (como lotería, dominó, cornhole, cartas, etc.).
Mientras compartimos, contaremos las historias detrás de cada receta: ¿quién te la enseñó?, ¿qué fiestas o recuerdos evoca?, ¿cómo se llama en tu idioma? Celebremos los sabores y las conversaciones que nos unen.
