For the past four months, ICE has reeked havoc on our communities and has worked to destabilize already displaced communities. Many of our brothers and sisters are sent overseas to concentration camps or to countries they aren’t even from, others being sent back to violent situations they fled from. Why is this happening? Why has the US Government done this to so many good people? The answer is simple: U.S. Imperialism has destabilized the globe, from the Middle East, to Africa, to Latin America, and across this way millions have perished or have fled to foreign shores for survival. Many of the immigrants who have come here to our country left due to our destabilization, and these countries are still to this day experiencing chaos by our hand.
ICE is the Imperial Boomerang that’s reared back to hit us, and the only means of which to defeat them is by uniting the collective of humanity that exists across this country. From the works of Fred Hampton, the Rainbow Coalition has shown us the path to uniting our diverse people with class and human solidarity that transcends any manufactured racial line. This rally is the beginning of this Rainbow Coalition, led by the Revolutionary Network, the Rock Island Black Panther Party, and other battalions who have yet to figure out they’ve joined our cause ;)
So, what is the Four Corners of Empire? Well, I’m glad you asked!
The Avenue of the Cities is known for its four way stops, so for that reason, let’s use those corners to our advantage! Like Street Preachers with an actual message worth believing in, we will occupy all four corners in honor of our brothers and sisters struggling here at home and those abroad.
