Puppet‑Making Workshop – 17 August, 10:30 am–12:30 pm
Join us at Ffrith Fammau Care Farm, Cilcain (near Mold) for a truly hands‑on creative experience and adventure. Whether you’re an adult coming on your own or bringing children, this two‑hour workshop invites you to slow down, play and have fun. Under the guidance of an experienced artist you’ll learn how to sculpt expressive human or animal faces from clay, exploring bone structure and other key features, then bring them to life with colour and character using acrylic paints. We’ll finish by assembling your very own puppet, ready to take home, possibly for stories and more play.
The farm animals will be nearby, so there’s time to connect with them gently after the workshop too – a perfect way to round off a mindful morning. Creating together is a great way to deepen family bonds, spark imagination and support wellbeing; it can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD and other neurodiversities. We’ll be working in the farm’s newly refurbished Old Granary studio, a beautiful light‑filled space designed for creativity.
