Mahjong 101

Hello Mahvelous Mahjong ladies!

I am so excited you have shown interest in learning the game of Mahjong! I have reserved the Cunningham room for October 12 and 19 to teach Mahjong 101 and 102. In Mahjong 101, we will learn the different tiles, suits, and hands that can be played. We will use an abbreviated card to learn with this session. In Mahjong 102, we will extend our knowledge by learning the Charleston, using the NMJL card and more strategy in game play. These two sessions are critical in learning how to play the game.

I will have some chilled champagne for us along with some waters and a snack mix for the tables. If you want anything else or want to contribute other snack/drink items, please feel free to bring!

If you would like to purchase a NMJL card, I am going to place a bulk order later this week. They are $15 each. Once you have an official card and have both lessons, you can join any open play group to play. If you are interested in purchasing your own tiles, mats and racks I have a 10% discount code you can use.

We will meet after the 11:30 mass on the 12th and get started around 1:00. Let me know if you are going to make it!
