A brand-new twist on Commander is here — and it’s only available during Edge of Eternities Prerelease Week!
In this special Commander Box League, you’ll build a deck straight from the contents of a single Play Booster Box, then battle in casual pods throughout the week to earn points and prizes.
🧠 Format Overview:
Buy a Play Booster Box of Edge of Eternities
Build a 60-card Commander deck using only the cards from that box (plus basic lands — we’ve got those!)
You may include multiple copies of cards you open
Any legal commander from your box is allowed
Ignore color identity during deckbuilding – build with any colors you want
(Note: cards that care about color identity, like Arcane Signet, still follow commander identity rules)
Adjust your deck anytime between games using cards from your box
Buy-a-Box and promo cards may not be used in decks
Play in as many pods as you’d like between July 25–31!
🗓 League Play Schedule:
Play during any of the times below — or just drop in during the week!
Friday, July 25: 12 PM – 5:30 PM
Saturday, July 26: 12 PM – 3:30 PM
Sunday, July 27: 12 PM – 3:30 PM
Monday–Thursday (July 28–31): Drop-in play during store hours
⚠️ All league play wraps up by July 31st!
🔍 Deck & Box Verification Policy:
To maintain a fair league environment, all players must take a clear photo of the full contents of their Play Booster Box (all cards laid out) before building their deck.
📸 Once the photo is taken, send it to us via Facebook Messenger at Next Level Games Muncie to complete your registration.
You may build and adjust your 60-card Commander deck throughout the week using only cards from that original box. Basic lands will be provided.
⚠️ Random deck checks may occur at any time.
Anyone found using cards not from their original box will be disqualified from prizing.
🏆 Prize Support:
Score points for playing and performing well — prizes are awarded at the end of the league!
+3 points per game played
+1 point per opponent eliminated
+2 bonus points for winning your pod
Every 4 points = 1 booster pack, rounded up.
Plus bonus prizes for the top finishers:
🥇 1st – 6 extra packs
🥈 2nd – 4 extra packs
🥉 3rd – 2 extra packs
