Recovery Church Movement Service

We begin the service with announcements followed by contemporary worship music and then sermon, testimony or topic. After that, we hand out crosses as a tangible reminder of what we have asked God to help change in our lives. We then have a period of open sharing where we can discuss the topic or any other sobriety threatening issues. We usually end with another song and then encourage people to hang around to meet others, talk directly with those who shared or spoke, and get a sponsor/sponsee. The last Monday of every month is our Anniversary service. This is a time in which we celebrate lengths of sobriety, greater than a year, by eating cake and by handing out crosses as a tangible reminder of the changes we have made in our lives with the help of God.
