From sculpture to sound to light to performance, nothing is off limits. The only constant? A vintage jacket!

Berlin based Curator-Duo and longterm Zuostant-Friends Vio Jaeger and Dirk Baumunk aka Thursdayrecords.Love asked 15 international artists to transform vintage fashion relics from their Fundus into wild, thoughtful or totally unexpected works to find out:

What happens when painters, sculptors, or even light designers were asked to leave their daily comfort zone and work outside their usual medium — starting with a single piece of old clothing.

Each artist was invited to select a vintage jacket from the curators fundus and transform it over the course of two months.

All artists were totally free to work additionally, to deconstruct, destroy and reconstruct or totally transform the pieces they’ve picked to work on.

The group show reveals the transformation process of these fifteen wearable (or not so wearable) artworks and also deals with the process of leaving your own comfort zone as an artist and designer.
Half fashion experiment, half performative practice, the show investigates the creative potential of discomfort, constraint, and radical play.

Expect surprises. Expect reinvention. Expect the unexpected.

Join us for the opening on August 15th 2025, with live performances, Bands & DJs and conversations with the artists and curators.
