Ever wanted to try your hand at pottery and ceramic sculpture? Maybe a decorative vase or a sculpture of your pet?

Come and join ceramic expert and tutor, Rebecca, in her Hampshire studio, for a series of 5 workshops designed for all abilities.

During these 3 hour sessions Rebecca will guide you through step by step processes using a variety of stencils and tools allowing you to create your own projects from clay. Alternatively, Rebecca can provide you with a project to complete with her support.

Just some of the techniques you will learn include

Sculpting techniques
coiling
Using moulds
slab building
Texture and pattern
Slip decoration
design and composition
Joining techniques
Glaze and oxide application
Your finished creations will then be fired in Rebecca's kiln ready for collection within 2 weeks after the final session.

Working with clay is a deeply engaging way to explore and express emotions and Rebecca's workshops offer a calm creative space for you to explore your ideas in a relaxed and supportive environment. Rebecca is experienced in helping students of all abilities grow in confidence and produce work they are proud of. As this course is spread over 5 sessions, if you haven't tried a class yet, it is ideal as you can work at your own pace with Rebecca's support.

The techniques you will learn on this course will provide a good grounding to move on to future courses with Rebecca.
