Stage Center (SC) & their School of Performing Arts (SoPA) proudly announce the next production of their 14th Season, Seussical Kids, the performance component of the second of our For Kids By Kids Summer Camp Adventures. Themed “Greetings From Broadway” the 2025 season has been packed with Broadway favorites. This marks the fourth production of the SoPA season, which will open July 25, 2025 for a four-performance run with two separate casts at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on the Centenary College Campus. Modeled after the Junior Theater Festival Experience, our FKBK Camps are designed to blend our skills-based and performance classes. Not only do students work on a JR. (1hr) or Kids (30min) length production (minus the technical elements) they also receive intensives in acting, singing, and dancing at camp. With only the tools of the actor (imagination, body, voice) our camp productions are performed in the great tradition of Shakespeare’s Old Globe, using nothing but a bare stage, simple lighting, and teamwork to effectively tell a great story.
Starring over 100 local K-8th graders split into two separate casts, the production is directed by SoPA Director of Education, Liesl Cruz, with choreography by Anne Petersen, and musical direction by Katie Phillips.
Families interested in enrolling their child in this camp have one final opportunity June 23 – 27. A waitlist will be implemented once we reach capacity.
