Dr. Katrina Phillips is a Senior Marine Scientist at Dauphin Island Sea Lab. She is a marine ecologist with expertise in animal movement and population connectivity. Her research combines spatial and molecular tools to investigate key ecological questions in marine environments, with particular interest in sea turtles. Of the 7 types of sea turtles in the world, 5 can be found right here in the Gulf. Come learn about sea turtle biology, current research into the "lost years," migration, and how you can help protect them.
