Join us in Ithaca for a weekend celebrating the birds and birders of New York State!

The 2025 New York State Ornithological Association Conference will be hosted this September by the Cayuga Bird Club in Ithaca, New York, located on Cayuga Lake in the beautiful Finger Lakes region. The meeting is open to the public, brings together birders from across the state and beyond, and offers attendees a variety of social, educational, and birding activities.

Conference Highlights:
<> Speaker Peter Kaestner, the first person to see 10,000 bird species

<> Speaker Adriaan Dokter, researching bird migration and population changes using weather radar tools

<> Breeding Bird Atlas celebration and lunch with NYS Atlas Coordinator, Julie Hart

<> Field trips to local hotspots, including the 10,000 acre Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge

<> Vendor displays and a silent auction featuring items generously donated by our vendors and the local community

Adult - Early Bird Registration (April 1 - June 30)
Cost: $70 per person

Adult - Registration (July 1- August 31)
Cost: $85 per person

Youth - Registration (ages 21 and under, April 1 -August 31)
Cost: $5 per person

Friday (5:00 - 6:45 pm) Welcome Reception includes appetizers, followed by Dr. Adriaan Dokter's presentation,“BirdCast - a Large-scale Perspective on Bird Migration”. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during the reception.
Cost: $20 per person

Saturday (11:30 – 12:45 pm) NY Breeding Bird Atlas Celebration and Lunch.
Cost: $15 per person

Saturday (5:45 – 8:45 pm) Banquet includes buffet dinner and Keynote Presentation by Peter Kaestner, “In Search of the Orange-tufted Spiderhunter”.
Cost: $75 per person

Cornell Lab of Ornithology tours on Friday afternoon.
(30 minutes; space is limited)
When registering, select 1 time slot: 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 or 3:30 pm.
