About this Event

The Rhode Island Rhythm & Blues Preservation Society presents the Rhythm and Blues Preservation Hall Band. Max Whiting, Tom Colantonio and Paul Williams bring the classics of R&B to audiences young and old. The musicians tell stories of Providence venues such as the Celebrity Club, a destination for national and local R&B musicians and fans from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Bring the whole family to this lively performance! The musicians bring their instruments up close to the children in the audience to draw them in with playful musical sounds.

The mission of the The Rhode Island Rhythm & Blues Preservation Society is to preserve R&B and promote music education through performance, teaching, and providing refurbished instruments donated by the public (that’s you!) to local schools.
