The day will be hosted by Sakina who is a local interior designer and art enthusiast. She will be joined by artists and scholars who invite you to engage with historic pieces and contemporary insights. From intricate geometric patterns to the elegance of Arabic calligraphy, each experience becomes a story waiting to be uncovered.

Info: Pakistani-born Canadian artist Omar Uddin is a renowned Arabic calligraphy expert who began studying the classical art form as a young child. Over the years, what started as a personal journey of learning has transformed into a global mission to make the beauty of Arabic calligraphy accessible to people from all walks of life. His personal portfolio features structural calligraphic installations for landmark mosques across North America, where his designs fuse tradition with contemporary elegance.

Info: Nora is an artist & trained interior designer with a studio practice in illustration. Her work explores biomorphic geometries in nature & Islamic heritage. Immerse yourself in the intricate nature of Islamic arts, learning to illustrate biomorphic motifs and paint with gouache. Drawing inspiration from traditional Islamic tezhip illumination specifically the Iznik Ottoman style, students will explore the composition and harmony of Islamic patterns. Using our exclusive Islamic Art illumination workbook and provided templates students will gain insight in composition construction, isolated motif drawing, and gouache painting methods. Together, we will breathe new life into historic beauty, weaving them within a modern, vibrant, and eclectic approach that honours your personal style, interests and heritage. We invite students to join us and cultivate meditative artistry, nurture their spirit, and paint works of traditional wisdom & grace
