Ahoy, Miramichi! The first-ever ‘Chi Shanty Festival is setting sail this summer!
Join us June 7th - 8th, 2025, at the Bicentennial Park in Nelson for a weekend full of music, history, and coastal celebration! ⛵️

The ‘Chi Shanty Festival brings together local musicians, storytellers, and historians to celebrate the rich maritime culture of Miramichi and beyond. Enjoy live performances of traditional sea shanties, and maritime folk tunes, on the waterfront stage, with swashbuckling workshops, a local vendor market, and family friendly fun! 🌊

Festival highlights include:
• Live music all weekend long
• Sea shanty performances and sing alongs
• Local artisans and vendors
• Kids’ activities and games
• Food from local favorites
• A city-wide afterparty on Saturday night (details to come!)
• Free admission!
