5K Mosasaur Run

Join Cornwallis 1828 and the ROTC Student Association of the Butler County School System for our first annual 5K! This 5K run will be held on the historical homestead of Peter Newport Braggs, located in Braggs Western Lowndes County in the heart of the Alabama Black Belt region. Runners will run the Nature Trail and our creek, which ran during the Cretaceous period. Registration for the event is $30.00 for 18 and under and $45.00 for 19 and order which includes your event t-shirt and lunch “A Southern BBQ” after the race. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers!

🏁 Route: This is a circular course, so you’ll finish where you started! The course will be lined with volunteers to ensure everyone stays on the path. Bathrooms will be available and will be located at the beginning/end of the course.

Parking will be available

Bib pickup will take place Friday, 14 2025 from the attending schools 2025.
Also your bib will be available up to an hour before the race. All bibs must be claimed 15 minutes before race time.
