Ward County 4-H Air Rifle Team
Are your 4-H youth (ages 8 to 18) interested in Ward County 4-H Air Rifle?
Shooting sports helps youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, and much more. Program activities and adult mentorship provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth, and conservation ethics.

Requirements to participate:
• Must be 8 years old as of January 1, 2025
• Must be an enrolled Ward County 4-H member
• Accompanied by at least one legal guardian
• ND 4-H Outdoor Skills Shooting Sports Informed Consent must be completed on 4honline.com
• Event Registration for Participation in 2025-2026 Shooting Sports must be completed on 4honline.com
• Minot Rifle and Pistol Club Release form – available at meeting

at the Minot Rifle and Pistol Club Indoor Range (1600 62nd St SW, Minot, ND 58701)

• Limited equipment is available for use at the club, or members can bring their own which is subject to inspection to verify permissible use
• Air rifles and pistols allowed can shoot .177 caliber pellets at a velocity of 600fps or less
• Targets are provided for each discipline
• Practice Flights are currently at 8:30 am and 10:30 am -- subject to change depending on the number of shooters (at least one parent or legal guardian are required to remain for the duration of the practice)
• Practice sign-ups are sent out weekly to verify flights will have space
• Categories are split up by age to include Beginner, ages 8 to 10; Junior, ages 11 to 13; and Senior, ages 14 to 18
• Beginners shoot from a sitting position off a bench rest
• Juniors and Seniors compete shooting from three positions of standing, kneeling, and prone
• All participants are required to register for MRPC Junior Shooting to enable use of the range. Annual Junior dues $20 for the first child of each family and $10 for each additional shooter.
