Service Dogs vs. Therapy Dogs – What’s the Difference?
🐾 Service Dogs are individually trained to perform tasks that assist people with disabilities. Under the ADA, they have public access rights and must be trained for specific disability-related tasks.
🐾 Therapy Dogs provide comfort and emotional support in settings like hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. They do not have public access rights and require strong manners and socialization skills.
