Join the University Singers and University Treble Chorus for Time and Space, an immersive concert featuring Elizabeth Poston’s An English Daybook and Tim Takach’s Helios. Conducted by Matthew Mehaffey and Christiana Howell, with Sara Grudem (MM Harp '06) on harp, this performance pairs exquisite vocal artistry with dramatic interstellar projections.
An English Daybook is a lyrical journey through a sequence of sacred and profane poems, crafted by Poston as a musical diary. It intertwines daily events with the seasons of the year and the arc of life itself, exploring themes of faith, superstition, birth, and death.
Helios weaves a narrative of order and chaos, exploring science, faith, and humanity through a rich tapestry of soundscapes, contemporary poetry, and ancient texts. Don’t miss this unique fusion of music and visuals that redefines our place in the cosmos!
Tickets Required, $15.50 for general admission.
