When at the Two Harbors record release party I learned of the new somewhat secret project of my former bandmate and old pal Ben Boyd and Shawn Grider (with Shawn on guitar and vocals) I, a little tipsy and a lot excited said, “We gotta do a show together!” I get stoked by people trying new creative avenues and really just finding a way to stay creative in general.
Introducing the Indie Pop Rock sounds of “The Pullover,” featuring Ben Boyd (Muskellunge) on bass and Shawn Grider (Two Harbors, Faux Jean) on vocals and guitar, Michael Lopez on drums (Faux Jean and Nightenghales) and Dax Eckel of (Faux Jean) on keys.
And Rebecca Lake Fritz (Muskellunge) the newish vibey pop 3 piece featuring Rebecca, Ram Zimmerman (The Buck Fifty Boys) and Emma Moy (Moy Dukksen).
Kicking off the night is Emma Moy joined by others including Peter Anderson (The Ocean Blue, Polara) and Kris Johnson (Two Harbors) playing a collection of new songs infused with elements of dream pop, shoegaze, post-punk, and psych rock.
