Join us at The Museum of Russian Art for a luminous evening of classical music as acclaimed pianist Denis Evstuhin performs two beloved masterworks: The Seasons, Op. 37a by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky.
Both pieces are rich with imagery—The Seasons evokes the moods and moments of each passing month, while Pictures at an Exhibition invites listeners on a vivid journey through an imagined gallery of paintings. This special performance brings each work to life through a pairing of music and light, creating a concert experience unlike anything TMORA has presented before.
A custom-designed light installation, projected above the pianist and across the gallery ceiling and upper walls, will accompany the music with shifting color and form—deepening the emotional atmosphere of the performance while remaining fully in harmony with the artistry. The lighting is crafted to enhance the experience without ever distracting from the virtuosity on stage.
