Twin Cities rock legends Flamin’ Oh's return to The Hook & Ladder Theater for an evening of rockin’ fun to support The Parkinson’s Foundation Minnesota and Dakota’s Chapter Fundraiser!
The Oh's soared to the upper echelon of Minnesota bands with their lively shows and exciting brand of straightforward rock & roll. They became one of the earliest bands to make music videos. Chuck Statler(music video pioneer who directed videos for DEVO, Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe and El Vez) directed two videos for the band. The videos aired on a new television network dedicated to music, MTV.
“Hard edged Stones-like rock’n’roll. East Coast street anthems coupled with Midwestern optimism and enthusiasm.” (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
Fronted and founded by fight director, songwriter, and guitarist Annie Enneking, Annie and the Bang Bang are a Minneapolis rock band. Known for their potent and spirited live shows, the band has many moods, mostly of the rock variety. They genre hop from dreamy folkpop to swampy psychedelic grooves to a grunge meets late sixties vibe, crafting musical gems that value energy, animal intelligence, poetry, and mischief. Their collective musical DNA includes REM, Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, and Big Star. The band is like a small roving gang of friends, who often develop new material while on writing retreats, tours, and band slumber parties. Adventure is a value of theirs, and they treat every gig as one.
