Music in the Parks: Consolation Champ

This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting Consolation Champ, a rock band.

"Consolation Champ PLAYED THEIR FIRST SHOW TOGETHER IN JANUARY OF 2005 AT THE 400 BAR IN MINNEAPOLIS. 375 PERFORMANCES, 37 STATES, 4 WEDDINGS, 11 CHILDREN, AND 6 DOGS LATER, THESE BALDING BUDDIES FROM BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA CONTINUE TO PURSUE GOOD SONGS AND GOOD SHOWS THAT MOVE PEOPLE. SHORTHAND FOR A LONG WALK IS THE BAND’S FOURTH ALBUM AND WAS EXTREMELY FUN TO MAKE. PRODUCED BY THE MULTI-TALENTED RYAN MACH, IT’S C. CHAMP’S BEST ATTEMPT YET AT MAKING SONGS WITH UNIVERSAL SUBJECT MATTER AND A CLASSIC SOUND THAT STILL MANAGE TO BE INTERESTING.

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.
