Decorate Ancestor Memorial Shields
11:00 AM at Venture Bikes, 1000 Midtown Greenway, Minneapolis, 55407
We invite you to bring a photo of someone you’ve lost, and join with BareBones artists to create a handcrafted piece. Materials provided to make personal memorials for loved ones to be carried in the procession.
Then join the procession to honor the ancestors, connect with your neighbors, and celebrate our lineage of resistance with puppets and Batucata Do Norte for musical accompaniment. Let’s walk, remember, and lift up the names of those we have lost.

Cepro Site Park to Midtown Global Market
We will join together in a community procession from the Greenway to the Midtown Global Market, where the memorials will continue and Batacuda Do Norte will perform at 12:30PM. All are welcome and invited to participate. We will also be honoring the Legacy of George Floyd and the tragic events that followed, on this 5th anniversary.
