We are bringing back our Pride Parade Float and you can participate!!!
Come as you are, we provide t-shirts, and if you're up for it, flying monkey costumes. Our theme is Wizard of Oz, because the wizard is a euphemism for god - they don't exist.
If you're particularly creative and want to dress up, let us know. We might have all the roles filled, but it's good to know who we can ask to dress up if someone can't make it.
Costumes just need to evoke the character and are not restricted to gender. We can help with coming up with ideas for the costume if you need extra inspiration. Tell us in the comments if you want to play a character! Photos from our last float:

The theme will be our favorite atheist parable and a parable adored by the Pride community as well: the Wizard of Oz. We will feature Emerald City and curtains that “the man behind the curtain” will pop out of, because there is no God or mythical being!
Arrive early for the best options for parking and to give you time to find us. We will probably start setting up around 9:00 am, putting final touches on the float such as blowing up balloons for a rainbow. You may also arrive closer to the step-off time at 11:00 am since we usually start moving well after that, but it's nice to arrive early to be relaxed, chat with other marchers, and have time to find parking or ride the bus from Loring Park or whatever your plan is.
The parade lines up along S 3rd St in downtown Minneapolis. Our line-up number is #130, we will be staging on S 3rd St, between 4th Ave S and 5th Ave S. Look for our float and the people wearing Minnesota Atheists t-shirts.
Come wearing your Minnesota Atheists or Aints t-shirt, or get your own 2025 edition Minnesota Atheists T-Shirt on the spot (optional free-will donation). We welcome members of all freethought groups to march with us (though parade rules will only allow the Minnesota Atheists signs we provide).
After the parade, the PRIDE festival will continue at Loring Park where you are welcome to join us at the Minnesota Atheists booth. We converse with people who stop at the booth, field questions about atheism, and let people know what our organization is about.
