HeART of Healing Sound Bath

On the first Tuesday of each month, December through May, we’ll be hosting a sound bath for University of Minnesota staff, faculty and students to ease stress and promote relaxation. Join us December 2 for the first event in the series!

The sound bath will take place from Noon to 1 p.m. Central and are open to University of Minnesota students, staff and faculty. Come join us to take part in a full-body listening experience led by trained musicians. The first sound bath in December will be facilitated by Bakken Center instructor, Molly Sturges.

A sound bath is a full-body listening experience that calms the nervous system and invites deep relaxation. Sometimes called vibroacoustic therapy, this practice engages the body at a cellular level, helping to release stress and restore balance. Focused on supporting mental health and wellbeing, sound baths are often combined with whole health practices such as journaling, mindful movement, and meditation.

No registration is required for this free in-person events, but come early as space is limited. Join us in the Bakken Center’s Meditation Space (B-393) in the Mayo Building. A limited number of yoga mats, cushions, and blankets will be available to use or feel free to bring your own.
