About the event

Dinner & A Laugh
Dinner & A Laugh is a monthly comedy showcase featuring the best the twin cities has to offer. This is an outdoor event that will last a little over an hour. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dinner-a-laugh-tickets-1564535992269?aff=oddtdtcreator

Denzel Belin (he/him) is a Black bisexual Minneapolis-based host, writer, director, actor, producer, and improviser. Belin is a longstanding cast member and writer at Brave New Workshop. He produced the weekly open mic “Stand Up Saloon” at The Saloon in Minneapolis . Belin presented a long-form collection of solo sketches and storytelling, “With Love, From Washington” for the Blackness Is…Festival in Minneapolis. He has generated work for Mixed Precipitation, Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus, Fearless Comedy, and more. He will be directing “Camp Bludde” for the Twin Cities Horror Festival this October.

Elliot Thursday has performed tens of minutes of stand-up comedy since first getting on stage three years ago. He lives in Minneapolis in varying proximities to his husband, Thair (whom he loves more than anything in the entire universe), and their two cats, Ms. Wendy and Mr. Lou. Elliot quit his transphobic and also stupid and boring day job last August and is currently seeing how big he can make the gap in his resume.

Jackson Hicks has dazzled audiences from Minneapolis all the way to south Minneapolis and left them begging for more, in just over a year. On and off stage jackson focuses on the goofyness of everyday life. He also dunked a basketball once during COVID even though there’s no footage to technically prove that.

Rachel Kennedy is single mom and a waitress, who has been gracing stages in basements and bars for a little over two years in the twin cities. She also is the host of her own open mic in Saint Paul at Zambonis on 7th!

Hosted by: Victoria Jocko, a stand-up comedian and show producer based in Minneapolis, offering a unique perspective on relationships, mental health, and gender. She started her comedy journey at The Cellar in Fargo, ND and since then has performed all over the twin cities as well as the occasional weird, small midwestern town. As a service industry veteran and social-norm hater, Victoria is guaranteed to captivate you with her dark humor and sharp tongue.
