DIY troubadour & indie power pop mainstay BRETT NEWSKI brings a collision of alt-country, Tom Petty, & 90’s alternative on his latest EP, ameriCONa. Newski is back with satirical humor, contrarian ethos, & the knack for creating anthems for outliers.

ameriCONa navigates themes of looming parenthood, hypochondria, fringe notoriety, & the absurdities of adulthood with twangy guitars, pedal steel flourishes, & sardonic lyrics that blur the line between melancholy and mirth. The ep shows flourishes of Bob Dylan & Jonathan Richman, with production in the vein of Velvet Underground.

Performing alongside bands like Pixies, Violent Femmes, Courtney Barnett, Gin Blossoms, Manchester Orchestra, Better than Ezra, Barenaked Ladies, & Nada Surf, BRETT NEWSKI heads back on the road with Steve “Mr Bicep” Vorass on drums & Sean “Bad Man” Anderson on bass.
