Join us for a timely and thought-provoking Book Talk luncheon featuring Edward Fishman, author of Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare.

Edward Fishman teaches at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and is a senior research scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy. He is the author of Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare, which debuted as a New York Times bestseller in 2025. Previously, he served at the U.S. State Department as a member of the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff, at the Pentagon as an advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and at the U.S. Treasury Department as special assistant to the Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. His writing and analysis have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Politico, and NPR.
