We are protesting the presence of Students for Life!

Kristan Hawkins, the founder of Students for Life, will make a stop at the UMN campus during her "Abortion is Oppression" speaking tour. Hawkins advocates for the prosecution of people who have had abortions in addition to a total abortion ban. She seeks to ban contraception and uses her platform to stigmatize birth control by spreading disinformation about its health risks and ability to cause abortions. She promotes the absurd and false claim that abortions poison drinking water. Furthermore, Hawkins and her followers enthusiastically take credit for recent defunding of planned parenthood.

We are sick and tired of extremist, religious leaders using their platform to further erode healthcare systems that are already lacking! And we are tired of academic institutions welcoming known bigots and misinformation peddlers onto campus! Join us to reject Hawkins’ and SfL’s oppressive and hate-fueled agenda!
