A Salute to the Sūrya Namaskar with Michael Kooiman!

This practice explores both the roots and modern interpretations of the Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar)! Together, we'll focus more closely on the postures in salutes, their energetics, plus a little historical context.

Reap the benefits of salutations: they are an efficient way to recharge by conditioning dozens of muscles, the whole spine and all your pranic pathways. Increase your respiratory capacity, sense of presence and body awareness. We'll end with a special meditation touted by the Haṭha Yoga Pradipīkā—Nåda anusandhana—the search for the 'unstruck sound' (anāhata) within.

Cost: $25 ($20 Devanadi 235/340hr TT alumni)
