*RECRUITMENT DROP IN EVENT - SATURDAY 21ST JUNE 2025 - 10am - 2pm*
Minehead Fire Station is now recruiting for new On-Call Firefighters.
We will be holding this ‘drop in’ event to meet and greet those who are interested in joining our team.
Those wishing to attend will have the opportunity to meet some of the team and ask any questions you may have about becoming an 'On Call' Firefighter in your local community.
Do you live and or Work within 5 minutes of Minehead Fire Station?
It seems like a long time ago now, but did lockdown change your employment circumstances and mean you now work from home, or have you changed employment location to work back in our local area?
On Call Firefighters are paid roles. Your availability time is paid, alongside responding to incidents and programmed training.
Applicants are welcome from anyone who can respond within 5 mins travel time of Minehead Fire Station.
Applicants will need to offer Daytime cover especially over the weekend, from either home or the workplace.
Training to become an On-Call Firefighter is carried out over a period of time known as ‘Firefighter Development’ and will involve attending various courses as well as weekly training commitments at the fire station.

Can you respond and help your community? �
