A gorgeous 4.7 mile hilly, sunset walk around the Exmoor northern coast.
Please bring food for a Picnic stop (dinner) around Sunset time.
I'll be bringing a tasty curry for myself in my Thermos Tub.
Where possible, please arrange a car share as we could get parking issues.
Also, please use either the Grid Ref or What3Words location to find the meeting point and Parking, As you could end up parking in the wrong place.

(nearby Post Code: EX35 6NE - Turn north, about 1 mile East of Countisbury A39)
The walk starts on the moors of Exmoor and we head East and towards the coast until we join the South West Coastal path and head back West again. Nearing sunset time we deviate off the SW Coastal path to see the Lynmouth Foreland Lighthouse
As we head south from the lighthouse and to the top of Butter Hill, there is a Trig Point there.
We should catch the Sunset (Sunset time 8:18pm)
I plan to stop for our evening dinner/picnic around sunset time
While we are stopped and after Sunset we will also look out for the very thin Crescent moon to a appear, which will also set about 8:44pm.
[The New Moon is at 07:06 on the 23rd, so this Crescent moon will be very thin and difficult to spot.]
I am assuming the last mile of the walk will be after sunset and so we could be walking in the dark at this point. You may want to bring a torch for the last bit back to the cars. We should be back at the cars for about 9:30pm and if people are keen we can find a nearby pub for last orders.
This walk does include walking through Cattle, so please be ready for this, especially as they could anywhere along this walk. This also means the walk isn't suitable for dogs.
Disclaimer: I am not qualified in first aid so people are taking these walks at their own risk.
