Spend a day in the heart of Exmoor learning about deer, deer management and venison butchery - culminating in a delicious meal of wild Exmoor Venison around the fire under the incredible Exmoor night sky.
We are passionate about locally sourced and sustainable game, so the majority of what we eat will have been sourced within a few hundred metres of where it is being eaten. During the afternoon you'll learn about venison and deer management and the variety of different ways we can cook game. All culminating in enjoying the fruits of our labours sat around the fire as humans have done in the Oare valley for thousands of years.
We will be outside all day so please bring warm, comfortable waterproof clothing and footwear with a good grip. A head torch would also be really useful.
