As the year begins, many of us are immediately surrounded by loud messages about detox, weight loss, strict diets, and pushing harder. But before we jump into all that, I’d like to pause for a moment and look at what this season is really asking from us…This season is for warming foods, fermented foods, slow cooking, and grounding habits — creating a strong foundation instead of burning ourselves out.
That’s exactly why I’m starting the year with a Miso Making Workshop.
Miso is deeply strengthening, warming, and supportive for digestion, immunity, and energy. But more than that, it’s important to understand why miso works, how it’s made, and how to use it correctly. When you know the process, you build real knowledge — not trends — and that knowledge stays with you wherever you go. Miso is a true staple of Japanese cuisine — simple, deep, alive. A taste, a tradition, and a connection you can recreate anywhere in the world.
In this workshop, we won’t just “make miso.”
As usual, we’ll laugh, chat, get our hands busy, and enjoy the process together. We’ll prepare everything slowly, mindfully, and with good energy — and then let time do its magic.
