Three Milwaukee tastemakers are joining forces for an unforgettable afternoon of bold flavors, heartfelt hospitality, and a celebration of culinary heritage.
Hidden Flavors of Asia invites guests to savor the rich traditions of Laos, Taiwan, and the Philippines during a playful, family-friendly five-course lunch on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m. at Pilot Project Brewing House in the Brewery District.
Featuring:
Alex Hanesakda of SapSap, a celebrated Laotian pop-up company known for sharing the rich flavors of Laos through Alex's family dishes and heartfelt storytelling. His passion lies in using food as a bridge — connecting people, honoring heritage, and sharing personal narratives one plate at a time.
Judy of MKEeeeEats, a Milwaukee-based foodie influencer dedicated to showcasing the best local eateries, hidden gems, and vibrant food experiences across the city. Her deep roots in food stem from her parents’ 25-year restaurant legacy, with her retired father—a Taiwanese chef with decades of experience—bringing his authentic cooking to this event.
Alexa Alfaro, a Filipino-American food entrepreneur passionate about bringing fresh, craveable Filipino flavors to Milwaukee. After running one of the city’s most popular Filipino food businesses, she’s back with pop-ups, catering, and vibrant street market-style experiences.
Guests will experience a five-course menu thoughtfully crafted to highlight authentic dishes and flavors, with each course representing a personal story and cultural tradition.
Tickets are $107 and include all five courses, take-home goodies, one complimentary beverage, and all ticketing fees.
