Join County Executive Crowley and Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM) for a family-oriented, inspiring day dedicated to healing, wellness, and community connection! Bring your family and friends for a day designed to create space for wellness in all its forms. Attendees are welcome to stay for the full day, or come and go as your Saturday schedule allows.
Activities:
10AM: A Family-Oriented Kickoff: County Executive Crowley and author Ebony Haynes will share powerful readings from her children’s books Dear Black Boy, It’s Okay to Cry, and Dear Black Girl, I See You. Stay after for a special book signing with the author!
11:15AM - 1:15PM: Connect through Community Artmaking: Enjoy community art showcased all day long and express yourself through a hands-on art experience created for children and youth in a vibrant maker space.
11:15AM - 12:45PM: Wellness for All Activities: Explore the wide range of healing and wellness programs regularly offered at Concordia 27, including breathwork, yoga, zumba, chair massages, healthy cooking demonstrations, and more!
11:15AM - 1:45PM: SWIM Deep Dive Sessions: Think mini-TED Talks—powerful 30-minute sessions on topics that matter most to our health and resilience, like gratitude, living with persistent pain, and the impact of AI on mental health.
11:15AM - 1:30PM: Plan & Recommit to Your Wellness Journey: Participate in action planning sessions designed to help you take real steps toward your health and healing.
The event is free and open to the public with no prior registration required.
