About the event

Nature Nurtures: A Mental Health Awareness Walk & Hike for Social Workers
Social workers, your mental health matters too.

About this Event

Social workers, we all know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. If you're anything like me, it's a month filled with advocating for and raising awareness about others' mental health. But let's be honestβ€”sometimes, we neglect our own mental health as we focus on caring for others. This month, I’m reminding us all: social workers your mental health matters too.

Yes, we are the professionals in the mental health field, but we are not robots. We feel deeply, we comfort others, and we carry more than many realize. That's why it's crucial that we take time to prioritize our own well-being.

This is where The Social Work Room comes in. We see you, we hear you, and we value you. You are not alone. A community of social workers who are here to support each other.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to join your social work community for an easy-to-moderate walk and hike at Blue Hills Reservation. This event is a chance to pause, connect with nature, and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit. Together, as a united community, let’s allow the healing power of nature to nurture our well-being and remind ourselves that self-care is just as important as the care we provide to others.

Join us for a peaceful day in nature where you can truly feel supported, recharged, and understood. Because our mental health matters too.
