Natural building - Earth rendering workshop

This workshop is designed for anyone interested in natural building and traditional earth construction methods. Led by experienced earth builder Peter Hickson from Earth Building Solutions, this workshop focuses on earth rendering to finish off our earthen walls and floor for our outdoor training and entertainment area, The Hive.

You will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience as you apply natural render finishes and sealing to the walls and floor. The workshop also explores the broader principles of ecological building—covering passive solar design, building technique selection, and the environmental benefits of earth-based construction.

These simple, sustainable techniques require minimal energy and provide endless opportunities for creativity, making them ideal for home projects, garden structures, community spaces, and artistic builds. Participants will leave the workshop equipped with practical skills and confidence to replicate natural building processes in their own environments.
