KNOW YOUR BINOCULARS & BASIC BIRDING TIPS

Join John and Carol Knapp in Prime Hook NWR's new Multipurpose Room for this great program.

Did you know that not all binoculars are created equal? Or that not all are suitable for birdwatching? Choosing the right pair of binoculars for birdwatching can be challenging. How do you decide what to buy? Power? Magnification: 7, 8, or 10? Field of view? Close focus? Eye dioptics?

If you’re thinking of upgrading or buying your first pair of binoculars for birdwatching, this program is for you. We’ll have a variety of pairs to try that demonstrate the differences. Bring your present binoculars for a review as well. Questions are encouraged.

The second part of this program will provide you with some basic birding tips on how to identify what you’re seeing with your new binoculars.
