Hey Friends!
This is a fun organized volleyball day so all the new faces can come hang and we can have some awesome competition in between. I plan to pop up 2-3 nets and run a Mad Hatter format (will be explained below). This is a free event and meant to build community and fun for us all. The only thing I ask is for you to bring some food or drink to share with everyone! Benny Russell Park is an awesome park located in Pace, FL, perfect those who have families as there is splash pad, plenty of space near us for the kids to run around, a shipwreck park, bathroom facilities, and pavillions to rent if you want!
Rules for attendance 14+ with parent present the whole event
For safety reason, if you plan to play please have a foundation for competitive volleyball.
Know where you are supposed to be on the court and where not to be and have at the minimum basic skills, this is not for beginner players, or a place to learn for the very first time.
I am hoping to have an extra net for free play and fun for those who fit that category, be patient as I locate one.
Park Rules: dogs are allowed, leashed, and pick up after your pets. There are no grills at the park, bring food that doesn't need to be cooked.

Sign-up individually
We will play 5 rounds in pool play. Play to 21 cap 21
Each round you will be randomly assigned to a team (whether it is 1-2 girls will depend on how many genders sign up etc)
Explained: Round 1 I will pull names from a hat and that is how you will be assigned to a team. Play your game, game ends, that is no longer your team. Round 2 I will pull names again from a hat and you will be assigned to a new team. Play your game, process repeats 3 more rounds.
Seeding
During Pool Play you will collect points based on a win or loss
Win= 3 points
Loss=1 Point
Explained: Round 1, you're randomly selected teams wins, you will all receive 3 points. Reshuffle, Round 2 with your new team, your team loses, you will all receive 1 point. Repeat until pool play ends.
Playoffs
*Double elimination
You will then be placed on your final team based on points earned in pool play
Finals Teams (numbers are seeds)
Team 1: 1,8,9,16
Team 2: 2,7,10,15
Team 3: 3,6,11,14
Team 4: 4,5,12,13
so on and so forth
This day is meant to be fun, competitive, stress free, and a mix and mingle. I may even have some merch to give out in the end ;). This is my first organized grass event (cant be a tournament for legal reasons lol), and first Mad Hatter. Please bare with me as i navigate, set-up, and make it work for us all. I can't wait to see all of your faces and meet your families!
